Year 7 Unit 1: BRIDGING UNIT
In this unit you will learn all about the building blocks of music. You will learn to read and write rhythmic notation using the Kodaly method.
The performing and composing tasks you need to complete this half-term are:
1. RHYTHM CLOCK:
Be able to perform each bar of music when given a 'time'. You will need to keep to a 4/4 beat while doing so.
Here is a video to help you clap a 4 beat rhythm in time with a drum.
2. Class ensemble. Performing minim, crotchet and quaver rhythms in a 4-part texture.
Add semiquavers. Use dynamics and tempo!
